1- Use a step that is 41.5 cm from ground level
2- Ask the client to do some light stretching before the test
3- Ask client to start step test, practice stepping up and down for 3 minutes.
It is recommended to use a metronome (for men, set the metronome to 96 beats per minute or, for women,
set the metronome to 88 beats per minute. During the test, for each beat of the metronome you will take one step per beat)
4- Continue the test for exactly 3 minutes. When the 3 minutes are completed , ask the client to stop stepping,
5- Wait for exactly 5 seconds, and then take the pulse.
6- Once all of this is done, enter hart rate into the field below to calculate the estimated VO2max.
